Research topic: Post-fire Regeneration, Traditional Fire Knowledge
Education: BSc in Biology (2025)
Current position: MSc student at Hacettepe University
During my undergraduate education, I worked as a volunteer student in the Functional Ecology Laboratory on various scientific projects of graduate students. Continuing my academic journey, I decided to pursue my master’s degree in the same laboratory, focusing on the fire ecology. My research aims to understand the post-fire regeneration of reedbeds and explore questions within the field of functional plant ecology. Wildfires and human communities are not one-sided phenomena but mutually influencing systems. Therefore, alongside studying the ecological dimension of reedbed fires, I am also interested in their sociological and cultural aspects, which extends my research toward the field of traditional fire knowledge and practices.
