Current position: GEF Programme (Long-Term) Intern in Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations
My name is Bora Gedikli. Although I will complete my MSc in Ecology, I hold a bachelor’s degree in Statistics from Hacettepe University, where I studied Data Analysis, Time Series, Econometrics, Biostatistics, and Actuarial Science.
Through my work with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), I developed a strong interest in Environmental Science and Ecology. In my MSc, I have been focusing on Ecological Statistics. Last term, during my scientific preparation for the MSc program, I joined the FUNECOL research team.
Even though my current studies focus on Ecology, my connection with Statistics remains strong. I enjoy applying statistical methods to different fields, as it is a discipline that plays a crucial role across almost every area of science. For this reason, I truly value interdisciplinary research.
Beyond academics, I have a great passion for sports, making music, and gaming.
